Thanksgiving basket Information

WIN helps connect Newtown households in need with those who want to give during Thanksgiving time. Adopted families receive everything they need for a Thanksgiving dinner, additional everyday groceries and household needs, and pet supplies. Please contact us if you want to help with this outreach .

Send WIN an email using the contact form. The community appreciates any and all help during the holidays.

Yes! Feel free to let WIN know how many families you'd like to adopt for Thanksgiving.

There are households of one up to large families! WIN tries to match donor budgets to household sizes.

Contact your family by November 18th.

Contact your family by November 18th to discuss the details of drop-off between your two households. The date and time should be within one week of Thanksgiving so fresh food does not spoil.

Yes, you must reside in Newtown, CT.

Contact Newtown Human Services at 203-270-4330.

All forms need to be delivered to Human Services by November 6th.

You should have heard from your donor by November 18th to talk about donation specifics and coordinating a date/time for drop-off. If it is after the date above, please email WIN using the contact form.

When you fill out the form given to you by Human Services, make sure to detail your allergies so the donor knows what to avoid.
