COMMUNITY OUTREACHES
WIN is involved in ongoing yearly outreaches. We help with Back to School Backpacks and Supplies, Thanksgiving Baskets, Christmas Family Sponsorship, Easter Baskets, and support young women through the Sue Rubino WIN Scholarship.
VOLUNTEERING
WIN members have the opportunity to volunteer and support other Newtown organizations throughout the year. You can participate as much or as little as your schedule allows in areas that best suit you. We paint with Hearts of Hope, bake for Red Cross blood drives, collect and donate to Faith Food Pantry, participate in the Pootatuck Duck Race, and help at the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary - just to name a few!
MEETINGS
Membership meetings are held once a month September through May. We usually meet on the second Monday of the month at the Newtown Community Center or a member's home. Meetings start at 7PM and we touch on WIN business, plan outreaches, brainstorm new ideas, and catch up with each other over snacks and drinks. Meeting attendance is not mandatory- attend when you can. We are a casual group of ladies yet impactful in our community!
